Q Who is eligible to buy a car from CarSelect?
A Any Lloyds Banking Group customer based in the UK (excluding Northern Ireland, Channel Islands and Isle of Man) who is 18 years or over.

Q Who is eligible for a finance agreement?
A Anyone who is over 18. Finance rates published on this website are available subject to status. For further information or a personal quote please ask for written details.

Q What are the opening times of CarSelect?
A Our new car operation is open every day. The opening hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm, Saturday Closed and Sunday Closed. (Contact the Sales Office for Public Holiday opening hours).
A Our used car department is open every day. The opening hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 7.00pm, Saturday 8.30am to 6.00pm and Sunday 11.00am to 5.00pm. (Contact the Sales Office for Public Holiday opening hours).

Q Will I be credit checked?
A Yes, if applying for finance Lloyds TSB CarSelect Limited provides the facility for this scheme, and they will carry out credit checks with credit reference agencies.

Q How do I prove that I am eligible?
A You must be able to prove that you are a customer of Lloyds Banking Group (acceptable proof includes debit card, cash point card, credit card or an account statement).

Q CarSelect sounds like what I am looking for, what do I do now?

Questions about New Cars

Q Can I add any additional extras, choose the specification and colour of my new car?
A You can tailor your new car to your exact requirements. Our impartial Sales Executives will be happy to discuss what you are looking for.

Q How do I pay for my car?
A When you order your new car we will take a refundable deposit and the remaining balance will need to be paid for before the delivery of your car. 0% deposits are also available.

Q How long does it take for my car to arrive?
A The time between placing your order and receiving your car will depend on lead time from the manufacturer. Our delivery consultants will provide you with an approximate delivery date as soon as possible.

Q How will my car be delivered to me?
A Our delivery consultants will arrange delivery of your new car with you to an agreed address that is convenient.

Q What do I get with my car?
A All new cars are supplied with a full manufacturer's warranty, 12 months Road Fund Licence, CarSelect mats and a quarter tank of fuel.

Q Is break down cover included?
A All vehicles are covered by the relevant manufacturers policy, but may vary by vehicle chosen.

Q What is a Personal Contract Purchase (PCP)?
A PCP allows you to finance a car but at lower monthly repayments than traditional Hire Purchase or Personal Loan agreements. With traditional methods of purchasing a car your payments are based on having to repay the entire cost of the car equally over the period of the agreement. However, with PCP you are able to defer a proportion of the cost of the car as a final Payment which is payable at the end of the agreement. A Guaranteed Future Value (GFV) is set based on the car's estimated value at the end of the agreement, which will be equal to the Final Payment.

Q What is the minimum and maximum period I can repay the PCP?
A Personal Contract Purchase plans run for 25 or 37 months.

Q Your quotes on the website only show certain mileages per annum, are these flexible and will I have to pay excess mileage charges?
A Our Sales Executives can tailor your mileage to your needs and we will build your anticipated mileage into the agreement. Should you exceed your agreed set mileage you will be required to pay excess mileage charges at the cost per mile shown on your quote and agreement.

Q What are my options at the end of my agreement?
A You will have three options available to you at the end of the agreement. These are:

Option 1: You must return the car to CarSelect in good condition for their age and mileage with nothing to pay. If they are not in that condition you must pay CarSelect the reduction in their value.

Option 2: You can pay the Guaranteed Future Value (GFV) and keep the car.

Option 3: You can part exchange your current car against a new one from us and should the actual value be greater than the Guaranteed Future Value (GFV) set at the beginning of your agreement, it will be yours to use as a deposit on the new car. it will be yours to use as a deposit on the new car.

Q What happens if I am under my contracted mileage at the end of the contract?
A If you have driven fewer miles than the contracted mileage, you have an additional benefit, that the value of the car may well be higher than the Guaranteed Future Value price (GFV).

Q What if my car is worth less than the GFV at the end of the agreement?
A You are not liable for any loss on the vehicle as long as it is returned in good condition and within agreed mileage limits.

Q Can I end the agreement early?
A Due to the early life depreciation of a car, it is best to ensure that at the start of the agreement period it is suitable for you and reflects when you are going to change your car. Should you wish to terminate the agreement early, our customer service team will be able to provide you with a settlement quote and will do everything possible to accommodate your requirements.

A No, 0% deposits are available.

Q What is the minimum and maximum period I can repay the loan?
A The minimum loan period is 12 months and the maximum loan period is 60 months.

Q How long does it take for my car to be ready?
A Each car undergoes a 120 point mechanical and electrical pre delivery inspection, the car is then thoroughly washed and valeted. This normally takes approximately 7 - 10 days.

A Delivery is available for a modest fee in mainland UK only. Your Sales Executives will be available to advise otherwise.
