407 Coupe
The Coupe has a longer front overhang than the already nose-heavy saloon, so it’s not the easiest car to place in tight turns, while the central switchgear layout can be a bit confusing. Other than that, there’s not much for drivers of all sizes to complain about.

Running Costs
Most of the 407 Coupe’s rivals come from so-called premium brands that command higher prices and are likely to depreciate more slowly. That’s not to say the 407 is cheap, and discounts might be hard to find because of limited supply. Fuel bills and company car ratings won’t be for the faint-hearted.
407
The driver benefits from a wide range of seat adjustment and a reach- and rake-adjustable steering wheel, it can still be difficult to juggle everything to get a perfect driving position. The centre console also has too many buttons, which can make it confusing to use.
Running Costs
The 407's turbodiesel engines are impressively economical: the 1.6 HDi averages more than 50mpg, meaning cheap fuel bills. The 2.0-litre isn't thirsty, with an average of 49mpg, while the 2.2 drops to 46mpg and the 2.7 manages 33mpg.
407 Saloon
The 407's awkward driving position is one of the worst aspects of the car. Despite steering wheel adjustment for depth and angle, and driver's seat-height adjustment, it's still not easy to get comfortable. All of the major controls are well positioned, but the centre console has a profusion of buttons that are confusing to use.
